Burnett was a very prolific author and she is best known for writing The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Little Lord Fauntleroy which are some of the most widely read children books in all of literature. A Little Princess, published in 1905, is a novel that tells the story of Sara Crewe, the daughter of a wealthy Englishman who enrolls her at a boarding school for girls in London.
